Program Terms

When you join our program, you become a digital ambassador for the OARS experience. To help us maintain our 50-year reputation for excellence, we ask that you follow these guidelines:

Be a Professional Ambassador: Please represent OARS, our guides, and our trips in a positive, truthful, and professional light. We strictly prohibit any content that is offensive, misleading, or could negatively impact the OARS brand.

Stick to the Style: We’ve worked hard on our look and feel. Please follow any brand guidelines we provide, including the proper use of logos and color schemes. Please don't stretch, recolor, or modify our logos without checking with us first.

Create, Don’t Copy: We love seeing your unique perspective! While you’re encouraged to use our facts and trip details, please don't "scrape" or copy-paste large blocks of text (like full itineraries or blog posts) from oars.com. Unique content is better for your SEO and ours; duplicate content can actually hurt both of our rankings in Google.

Safety First (and Realistic): Whitewater rafting is an incredible adventure, but it does involve real risks. Please don't guarantee "100% safety" or use language that downplays the inherent risks of the river. Your descriptions should match the tone of our official materials—honest, exciting, and safety-conscious.

Your Voice, Your Responsibility: You are responsible for the claims you make on your platforms. By joining, you agree to protect OARS from any legal issues that might arise if a guest is misled by inaccurate safety claims made in your content.
