Brand Overview
Cardigan was once home to a jeans factory that employed 400 jeans makers in a town of 4,000 people. When the jeans factory closed and moved offshore, hundreds of skilled makers were left without a place to use and pass on their craft. Hiut was founded to bring those skills back — and to keep them alive for the next generation.
Our jeans are crafted by our GrandMasters, skilled artisans who have decades of experience specialising in cutting, sewing, and finishing jeans. We use only the most premium fabrics, including Japanese selvedge denim woven on traditional shuttle looms and organic denim. More than just a product, Hiut's mission is to inspire a beautiful everyday life through craftsmanship, because the way products are made shapes the kind of world we live in.
Our affiliate partners help us share that story — clearly, honestly, and in a way that respects the craft behind every pair.
Programme Restrictions & Compliance Rules
1. Discount Codes (Strict Policy)
Hiut Denim does not use discount codes.
Not permitted:
• Promoting coupon codes, voucher codes, or promo codes
• Listing Hiut Denim on coupon or deal websites
• Using invented or recycled discount codes
• Messaging that implies discounts (“exclusive savings”, “save now”, etc.)
• Any sale involving code-based promotion will be voided.
2. Brand Protection
To protect the clarity and trust around our brand, the following are not permitted:
• Registering or creating domains/subdomains containing “Hiut”, “Hiut Denim”, or Hiut product names
• Creating domains or pages that imitate Hiut’s website or could be mistaken for it
• Using brand terms in URL paths (e.g. site.com/hiutdenim)
• Impersonating the brand in any form
• Using the Hiut Denim logo without permission
If a customer could reasonably mistake your site for ours, it’s not allowed.
2A. Brand Safety
We’re a family-friendly brand, and we ask affiliates to promote Hiut Denim in environments that reflect that.
The following are not allowed:
• Adult content or age-restricted websites
• Gambling, vaping, or high-risk regulated products
• Sites containing hate speech, misinformation, or unsafe content
• Any placement that may harm brand trust or feel inappropriate for a general audience
Note: Partnerships or placements alongside responsible alcohol content (e.g., restaurants, breweries, lifestyle publications) are allowed.
If the environment isn’t suitable for all customers, it isn’t suitable for Hiut.
3. Paid Search (PPC) Restrictions
PPC activity involving brand terms is not permitted.
Not allowed:
• Bidding on “Hiut”, “Hiut Denim”, product names, or misspellings
• Using the brand in ad titles, descriptions, or display URLs
• Dynamic Search Ads that may target Hiut pages
• Ads triggered by competitor brand keywords
• Redirects or landing pages designed to capture branded intent
• Violations may result in removal and commission reversal.
4. Traffic Quality Requirements
The following activities are not allowed:
• Pop-ups, pop-unders, interstitials, or intrusive formats
• Forced clicks or automatic redirects
• Cookie stuffing
• Bots, automation, or artificial traffic generation
• Browser extensions or toolbars without approval
• Misleading or incentivised traffic
All traffic must be user-initiated and transparent.
5. Creative & Content Use
Affiliates may:
Use approved banners and links available within AWIN.
Affiliates may not:
• Copy full product descriptions directly
• Scrape imagery from the website or social channels
• Alter or distort official creative assets
• Use outdated promotional materials
• Create AI-generated versions of Hiut Denim products or photography

6. Email Marketing
Any email mentioning Hiut Denim must be approved beforehand (7 days notice).
Requirements:
• Must clearly show the affiliate as the sender
• No brand impersonation
• Only approved copy and creative
• No unapproved claims, discounts, or exclusivity statements
Unapproved email activity may result in removal.
7. Social Media Promotion
Affiliates must:
• Clearly disclose affiliate activity
• Not run paid social ads without prior permission
• Not create accounts that appear to be Hiut Denim
• Not imply access to exclusives, insider offers, or discounts
• Remove any non-compliant content if requested
8. Commission & Validation
Commission is approved only when:
• The order is fully tracked through AWIN
• The order is valid, not cancelled or refunded
• The affiliate is compliant with all T&Cs
Hiut Denim may reverse commissions for:
• Non-compliant activity
• Orders tied to banned methods
• Suspicious or inconsistent traffic sources
Validation windows may adjust during peak seasons.
9. Programme Removal
Affiliates may be removed for:
• Any breach of these guidelines
• Brand impersonation
• PPC violations
• Coupon/deal site activity
• Misleading or fraudulent behaviour
• Associated commissions may be declined.
