Programme Terms for the rug.co.uk Affiliate Programme (via AWIN)
Effective: December 2025
These terms apply to all publishers participating in the rug.co.uk affiliate programme via AWIN.
1. General Participation Requirements
Only publishers who comply with applicable laws and AWIN’s Code of Conduct may join.
We do not accept websites or services that contain, promote, or link to:
Glorification of violence, extremism, racism, antisemitism
Pornography, adult content, or material harmful to minors
Gambling, sports betting, crypto-gambling
File sharing, warez, or illegal streaming platforms
Defamatory, discriminatory, illegal, or harmful content
Violations may result in immediate removal from the programme and cancellation of pending commissions.
2. Search Engine Advertising (SEA/SEM)
Rule: SEA is not allowed unless rug.co.uk grants written approval.
Without explicit permission, the following are prohibited:
Bidding on “rug.co.uk”, “rugcouk”, typo variations, or brand/domain combinations
Use of brand or competitor terms in ad copy, display/target URLs, or keywords
Direct linking to rug.co.uk shop URLs
If approval is granted:
“rug.co.uk” and common typos must be added as negative keywords
Landing pages must be hosted on your own domain
Violations may lead to exclusion from SEA or the entire programme.
3. Voucher & Discount Portals
Access is only granted with prior written approval.
Only officially provided vouchers (via AWIN or directly via email) may be used.
Expired codes must be removed within 14 days.
Vouchers may not be used in toolbars, browser extensions, overlays, or pop-ups.
Self-generated codes or general benefits (e.g. free shipping) must not be promoted as vouchers.
Sales via unauthorised or expired codes will not be rewarded.
4. Creatives & Product Data
Banners, text links, and product feeds may only be used on approved domains in your AWIN account.
Modifying creatives (e.g. changing logos, cropping images, shortening text) is not allowed without approval.
No pop-ups, auto-redirects, forced clicks, or cookie-dropping.
Product feeds:
May only be used on the publisher’s own website
Redistribution to third-party platforms is not allowed
Always use the latest version of the feed (daily updates recommended)
5. Tracking, Cookies & Technical Requirements
Cookie stuffing or manipulation of tracking is prohibited.
Click redirects must provide a clear referrer; cloaking or iframe use is forbidden.
Suspicion of manipulation may result in transaction cancellation and programme suspension.
6. Commission & Cancellations
Commission is paid according to AWIN’s terms after a valid purchase and the return period has passed.
Cancelled orders (returns, non-payment, fraud, duplicates) are not eligible for commission.
7. Inactivity & Programme Termination
If no traffic or valid sales are generated within 12 months, rug.co.uk may end the partnership without notice.
All creatives, tracking codes, and deep links must be removed upon termination.
8. Final Provisions
rug.co.uk reserves the right to update these terms with 14 days’ notice.
Updates will be communicated via AWIN; continued participation implies acceptance.
If individual clauses become invalid, the rest of the agreement remains unaffected.
