Terms and Conditions

These terms govern the relationship between you (“the Publisher”) and Happy Hideouts (“the Brand”). By joining the Happy Hideouts Affiliate Programme through AWIN, you agree to comply fully with the terms set out below.

Acceptance into the programme does not constitute consent to begin promotional activity. All promotional methods, placements, content, creative assets, wording, imagery, and marketing environments must be fully compliant with these terms, AWIN policies, and applicable UK regulations.

Happy Hideouts reserves the right to decline, reverse, or withdraw commissions for any breach of these terms, including breaches arising from your own activity or activity carried out by third parties acting on your behalf.

1. GENERAL CONDUCT

You agree to promote Happy Hideouts responsibly, accurately, and in a manner that reflects positively on the brand. You may not mislead customers regarding pricing, product attributes, discounts, delivery times, promotions, or stock.

All marketing must comply with UK law, including ASA guidelines, CAP Code, GDPR, and consumer protection laws. Any marketing that could be seen as misleading, harmful, derogatory, unsafe, or damaging to the brand may result in removal from the programme.

2. APPROVAL OF MARKETING METHODS

Only organic promotional methods are permitted unless explicit written approval is given. This includes content, SEO, social media posts, blogs, reviews, newsletters, and editorial placements.

The following require prior written consent:
– Any form of paid media, including PPC, PPC-brand, PPC-generic, CSS, Google Shopping, retargeting, paid display, or programmatic
– Use of voucher codes not issued or approved by Happy Hideouts
– Any form of incentivised traffic
– Any activity involving third-party affiliates, sub-networks, or partners acting under your account

Consent must be obtained separately for each distinct activity. Past approval does not grant future approval.

3. COMMISSION & VALIDATION

Commission is paid only on selected product categories at the brand’s discretion. Commission is calculated on the net product value excluding VAT, delivery, or service fees.

The following transactions will not be eligible for commission:
– Cancelled orders
– Returned items
– Fraudulent or high-risk orders
– Duplicate transactions
– Orders using unauthorised voucher codes
– Orders generated through prohibited marketing methods

Validation takes place monthly. Transaction disputes must be raised within 5 working days of decline. Disputes submitted without supporting evidence will be rejected.

4. VOUCHER CODES

Only voucher codes provided directly by Happy Hideouts or issued via the AWIN platform may be promoted. Creating, guessing, scraping, or distributing unapproved codes is prohibited.

Misuse of codes will result in commission reversals and removal from the programme.

5. BRANDING & CREATIVE

All use of Happy Hideouts branding, logos, imagery, product information, and content must be accurate, non-misleading, and up-to-date. Publishers may not alter logos, distort imagery, misrepresent pricing, or imply official partnership status unless agreed in writing.

Brand terms may not be used in URLs, PPC ads, meta titles, meta descriptions, ad copy, or any paid placements without explicit approval.

6. FRAUD & PROHIBITED BEHAVIOUR

You may not engage in:
– Cookie stuffing
– Bot traffic, fake clicks, artificial impressions
– Domain spoofing
– Incentivised traffic without approval
– Misrepresentation of offers
– Use of stolen or scraped discount codes
– CPA manipulation or forced redirects

Any fraudulent activity will result in immediate removal, full commission reversal, and potential reporting to AWIN for network-wide suspension.

7. THIRD-PARTY ACTIVITY

If you work with subcontractors, sub-affiliates, agencies, or partners on your behalf, you are fully responsible for their actions. Any breaches committed by them will be treated as breaches committed by you.

8. REMOVAL FROM THE PROGRAMME

Happy Hideouts may suspend or remove publishers at any time for violations of these terms, non-compliance, unsafe placements, brand damage, or fraudulent behaviour.
