As we are very protective of our brand, DHL Ecommerce may revise these terms without notice at any time. It is up to the affiliate to regularly review these terms in case there are any changes.
Please ensure you familiarise yourself with the information provided in the Overview section. Should you have any questions, suggestions or requests relating to these terms (or indeed any aspect of our Affiliate Program), please contact us directly.
Unless explicitly authorised in writing by DHL Ecommerce the following restrictions apply:
Commissions
We offer a healthy 9% commssion on all orders place by new website customers. That's not all though, affiliates will also earn 1.5% from our existing DHL Ecommerce users too.
Business Accounts
DHL Ecommerce work with a wide range of UK businesses and offer discounted rates based on the volume of parcels they send through us on a weekly basis. We will therefore not pay commission on orders placed by any customer with a Business Account. These may initially show in your AWIN account but will then be manually reviewed and declined. We are working to fully automate such processes and hope to be able to release this in the coming weeks.
Websites
Affiliates are not permitted to purchase, own or bid on any domain names with the term "DHL Ecommerce" (or misspellings thereof) in the URL.
Affiliates must not include the term "DHL Ecommerce", or misspelt variations of the same, in the sub-domain of their website’s URL. For example, www.DHLEcommerce.affiliate.com.
Affiliates may not put the DHL Ecommerce website into frames or use masked URLs.
Affiliates may use correctly the term "DHL Ecommerce" after the domain of their website’s URL. For example, www.affiliate.com/DHLEcommerce.
Your website shall not contain:
- Any false, inaccurate, libellous, misleading or disparaging representations or statements regarding DHL Ecommerce, its partners, the providers of any of its services or any service offered directly by DHL Ecommerce; or
- Any negligent, unlawful, harassing, libellous or otherwise objectionable or illegal content or content that infringes the rights of any other person.
You shall remove from your website any materials or copy DHL Ecommerce request within three working days of being asked to do so.
Keywords
Brand bidding, along with permutations of “DHL Ecommerce”, is not permitted on any search engine.
In order to avoid any broad matching issues, affiliates must add DHL Ecommerce as a negative keyword in all paid search activity.
Please do not use the word ‘official’ in your advertisements or page content.
We are happy for affiliates to bid on generic terms, however direct linking or using any of our display URLs is prohibited. Any affiliates who do not abide by these rules risk having their commissions set to zero and possible suspension.
The only exception to this is when an affiliate is expressly and specifically authorised, with a formal contract in place, to carry out this activity on behalf of DHL Ecommerce.
Linking
You must not link directly to any part of DHL Ecommerce or apply re-directs for any services offered via the Affiliate Network from any paid (own generic ads) or natural search listings.
All links must clearly identify the affiliate relationship by landing the consumer on the affiliate site prior to clicking through to the DHL Ecommerce site.
Emails
By participating in the DHL Ecommerce Affiliate Program, you agree to not send unsolicited bulk e-mail ("spam") in any form to promote the program.
Social
Affiliates must not post on any DHL Ecommerce social media platforms in order to attempt to drive visitors to their webpage. DHL Ecommerce social media platforms include (but are not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Google Plus, Pinterest and any DHL Ecommerce Forum.
Codes
DHL Ecommerce encourages affiliates to contact us for exclusive voucher/discount codes and additional incentives.
Affiliates may only promote DHL Ecommerce codes that are provided through the Affiliate Program (either via AWIN or directly from a DHL Ecommerce Affiliate Manager).
DHL Ecommerce reserves the right to withhold payment of commission if unauthorised voucher codes are used in an affiliate sale.
In addition to withholding these payments, any affiliate found to be displaying unauthorised codes may also have their commission set to zero until the code(s) are removed or their membership terminated.
We appreciate that consumers may use voucher codes that they have found via a site other than that which is awarded the sale and this will be investigated before decisions on commission payment are made.
Where voucher codes are issued with an expiry date this should be clearly displayed. Codes should be removed or explicitly marked as expired after this due date unless you are advised otherwise.
Any affiliates displaying expired codes without marking them as being expired may be suspended from the programme. Please also ensure that you observe IAB voucher code best practice guidelines.
Assets
Please only use the images, text and links provided by DHL Ecommerce via AWIN.
Affiliates may not alter any of the creative or text links available through the AWIN interface, however if you require any custom links, copy or assets, please contact us.
To ensure that the services you are promoting are current, prices are correct and the tracking links are working correctly, affiliates must use the most recent creative and copy supplied by DHL Ecommerce via the AWIN portal.
Any updates to the creative and copy on the AWIN portal will be displayed within 24 hours on the affiliate site.
Audits will be undertaken on a regular basis to ensure affiliates are displaying the correct version, content and imagery at all times. In the event that any affiliate site has been identified as not displaying the correct information or to not be complying with the network portal will be a serious breach of these terms and conditions.
Affiliates must dynamically link creative from the network to ensure it is always the latest version. Please contact us immediately if for any reason you feel you cannot work with dynamic links.
Any affiliates found to be hard-coding links or creative will be subject to their account being paused pending a full audit.
Breach
Without prejudice to any rights AWIN may have and action it may take against you, if you breach these terms and conditions:
- DHL Ecommerce may cancel your membership of the Program;
- you will cease to be entitled to receive commissions in respect of DHL Ecommerce services; and
- you will be required to pay back any commissions in respect of DHL Ecommerce services paid to you following your breach of these terms and conditions.
Affiliates that are removed from the program following a breach of these terms and conditions will not be able to rejoin the program without explicit authorisation from DHL Ecommerce.
Termination
DHL Ecommerce reserves the right to terminate your membership of the Program at any time and without notice.
If membership is cancelled you must immediately remove from your website:
- any references to DHL Ecommerce;
- any creative or copy referring to DHL Ecommerce; and
- any links to the DHL Ecommerce website.
Commissions in respect of DHL Ecommerce services will cease to be payable to you following notice of termination. You must repay any such commissions which you receive following notice of termination.
Laws
These terms are governed by English law. You and DHL Ecommerce agree that the courts of England will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any claim, dispute or matter of difference which may arise out of, or in connection with, these terms and conditions.
Omission by DHL Ecommerce to exercise any right under these terms and conditions will not constitute a waiver of such right unless expressly stated by DHL Ecommerce in writing.
If you have any questions please contact the DHL Ecommerce Affiliate Manager or AWIN directly.
