Affiliate Brand Guidelines & Restrictions
1. Brand Identity & Messaging
Use the brand name exactly as “InstantHeadShots.ai” (with the .ai extension) in all promotional materials.
Position the brand as: “AI-powered headshot generation” that transforms everyday selfies into professional, studio-quality portraits quickly.
Emphasize core benefits: ease of use, fast turnaround, cost-efficient alternative to traditional studio headshots, versatility for LinkedIn/resumes/creators.
Avoid making unsubstantiated claims (e.g., “guaranteed job offer after using it”) unless the brand provides specific promise/documentation.
Maintain consistent tone: professional yet approachable, modern, tech-savvy and helpful (fits with your affiliate voice referencing data, “smart growth”, etc.).
2. Visual & Creative Assets Use
Do not use any images, logos, headshots or other creative assets from InstantHeadShots.ai’s website (or any brand-owned visuals) without obtaining direct written permission from the brand.
If the brand supplies you with a specific “affiliate asset pack” (logos, banners, etc.), use only those assets exactly as provided, without alteration (unless brand grants permission to modify).
Any custom visuals you produce (e.g., screenshots of your experience, your own before/after headshots) must clearly indicate that the images are your own, or that you have rights to show them. Avoid mis-implying that the images are official brand images when they are not.
Ensure any third-party images used in your promotions (stock photos, etc.) comply with their license and do not infringe on the brand’s identity or trademarks.
3. Trademark & Naming Usage
InstantHeadShots.ai’s trademarks, logos and name are the property of the brand. You may refer to “InstantHeadShots.ai” as part of your affiliate content (e.g., “I used InstantHeadShots.ai to …”), but you must not:
Create derivative brand names or confuse the audience into thinking your content is official brand-owned (unless you’re specifically designated as official).
Use the brand logo or trademark in a manner that implies the brand endorses you personally (unless explicitly agreed).
When referencing the brand in headlines or creatives, ensure it is clear you’re an affiliate/promoter and not the brand itself.
4. Prohibited Content & Claims
Do not claim that InstantHeadShots.ai offers features it does not publicly advertise (e.g., “100% flawless job placement”, “instant viral headshot”, etc.).
Avoid making misleading or exaggerated performance promises (e.g., “Your LinkedIn will get 10× more offers overnight”).
Do not compare the brand in a derogatory way to competitors with false statements or unfair claims.
Do not use copyrighted testimonials, blog posts or reviews from the brand’s site without permission.
Do not use the brand’s visuals for purposes beyond promotion (e.g., reselling or repurposing their images as your own product).
5. Landing Pages, Tracking & Affiliate Links
Use only the affiliate link(s) provided by the brand for tracking. Do not modify or obscure tracking parameters.
Ensure your promotional pages clearly comply with disclosure regulations (e.g., “I may earn a commission if you purchase through my link”).
Do not incentivize clicks through misleading tactics (e.g., “Click here to get a free headshot” unless it is explicitly part of an offer approved by the brand).
Ensure compliance with the brand’s rules on coupon usage, discount stacking, or special offers (if any). If you offer a special discount, you must ensure it is approved.
6. Branding Tone & Style
Align your promotional tone with the brand’s: modern, clean, trustworthy, tech-forward.
Ensure your visuals and copy do not feel overly gimmicky or spam-my (since the product is professional in nature).
If you incorporate your personal brand elements (you being Chris, data-driven affiliate consultant, etc.), ensure that you remain clearly separate from representing InstantHeadShots.ai itself.
Use language that reinforces quality and professionalism (“studio-quality”, “professional profile photo”, etc.) without overpromising.
7. Compliance & Reputation
Avoid promoting the brand in environments or channels where your style may appear deceptive (spammy email blasts, unverified mass messaging, etc.).
Do not engage in negative SEO or black-hat marketing tactics (fake reviews, misleading social proof).
If you receive private or confidential affiliate materials (e.g., upcoming product changes, special offers), do not leak them publicly unless the brand authorises it.
If any user raises an issue about the brand (e.g., dissatisfaction, refund complaint) through your link, you must direct them to the brand’s official support channel rather than offering a separate resolution.
8. Permissions & Asset Requests
If you wish to use a specific image from InstantHeadShots.ai’s website (headshot examples, banners, etc.), you must request written permission from the brand prior to use.
Document such permission (email or affiliate dashboard approval). Keep a copy in your records.
If permission is denied, you must remove any usage of the brand’s proprietary images immediately.
The brand retains sole discretion to revoke asset usage rights — you must cease using the asset upon request.
9. Changes & Updates
The brand may update its affiliate terms, imagery, logo, or approved messaging at any time. As an affiliate, you commit to reviewing and applying any updates within a reasonable timeframe (e.g., 5 business days).
You must not continue using outdated logos, offers or creatives once they’ve been deprecated by the brand.
10. Approved Content & Review
Before using any new large-scale campaign (e.g., new landing page, video ad, influencer collaboration) referencing InstantHeadShots.ai, you must submit the creative to the brand (or designated affiliate manager) for pre-approval, especially if it uses co-branding, the brand’s imagery, or guarantees.
Keep logs of approved creatives and usage periods for auditing or compliance.
