Husband-wife duo, Rob and Leslie, owned and operated The Raymond Restaurant in Pasadena for 18 years. In 2010, they built a bar at The Raymond called 1886 that came to be named one of the 10 Best New Bars in America by Food & Wine Magazine. Their co-founder and partner, Peter, earned recognition for being included on the list of the Top 5 Bartenders in Los Angeles by noted LA Times food critic Jonathan Gold. Together, all three saw an opportunity to deliver premium cocktails in a different way, and after much hard work, they launched Knox & Dobson.
All of Knox & Dobson’s cocktails are made with the same premium ingredients that are used and served at their bar, 1886, including barrel-aged whiskies, small-batch rum, gin, and 100% Blue Agave Tequila to produce true craft cocktails that match the taste and quality of those freshly prepared by your favorite top-tier bartender. The brand’s cocktails have earned high praise, including Gold, Double Gold, and Best in Class from the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition. In 2025 alone, the brand also earned a Platinum medal, which is awarded only to those who have earned a Double Gold for 3 consecutive years.
