From The Box Office terms and conditions
Please note that failure to comply with these terms conditions could result in your relationship being terminated and any commission earned being reversed.
In applying for the From The Box Office program you, the Affiliate, are agreeing to the terms and conditions as follows:
Domain Restrictions
Affiliates may not use any domain owned by From The Box Office for search engine linking. This includes, but is not limited to www.fromtheboxoffice.com
Affiliates are asked not to register domains that are similar or confusingly similar to the From The Box Office brand name. Any activity of this kind on the campaign will result in commissions being declined and will mean affiliates face suspension.
Affiliates may not put From The Box Office website into frames.
Paid Search Policy
From The Box Office affiliates are NOT permitted to use or bid on any From The Box Office brand terms including misspellings or other variants on all search engines, directories or any other online database, except where permission has been granted.
Affiliates are not permitted to bid on brand terms + generic terms. For example, From The Box Office Tickets. There is a closed group in place for brand terms + generic terms, no affiliate is allowed to bid on brand terms + generics without expressed written consent from From The Box Office. Affiliates are encouraged to promote From The Box Office through the use of generic keywords. We are happy for affiliates to mention From The Box Office in the title/body of adverts.
Overbidding the official From The Box Office advert is strictly forbidden on all search engines. From The Box Office affiliates are not permitted to bid on competitor brand terms to drive traffic to www.fromtheboxoffice.com
Any affiliate found contravening these terms will face immediate suspension and their orders will be declined.
Discount code/Voucher code use
All discount/voucher code use needs to comply with the official IAB guidelines, which can be found here: http://www.iabuk.net/en/1/iabsaffiliatemarketingcouncillaunchescodeofbestpractice110808.mxs
Any affiliates who do not adhere to the following guidelines will be removed from the affiliate programme and commissions will be cancelled:
•Using “click to reveal” when there is no valid or current code present is not permitted of affiliated publishers including using “click to reveal” to show any deals/offers/sales instead of vouchers
•Voucher code affiliate publishers must clearly detail the voucher offer that will be revealed by the click
•A valid code is defined as a code that has been legitimately issued by a merchant for use online. This code will have an activation date and where necessary a deactivation date
•Voucher code directories must contain clear categorization and separation between deals/offers/sales and discount codes
In addition to the IAB’s code, From The Box Office set the following rules for the use of voucher/discount codes:
Any discount/voucher codes promoted must be provided through the From The Box Office affiliate programme.
Affiliates are not allowed to display made up / invented discount/voucher codes on their site(s) or display discount/voucher codes that were intended for use in other channels or for other online affiliates.
Affiliates found to be using unauthorised voucher codes face immediate suspension from the programme. We reserve the right to withhold payment if non-authorised voucher codes are used in an affiliate sale.
Email Marketing
Email marketing must be submitted to your account manager for sign off.
Creative
Affiliates may not alter any of the creative or text links available through the Affiliate Window interface. In order to prevent out of date content, affiliates may not hardcode the creative into their sites. If your site requires that banners are hardcoded, please contact the account management team to obtain permission before putting this in place.
Anyone found infringing on these terms will receive a warning and may have commissions reversed. We reserve the right to withhold commission during this time. Continuous infringement of these terms will result in suspension. For the avoidance of doubt, we reserve our right to terminate any affiliates by 14 days prior written notice.
