Terms and Conditions of the Oman Air Affiliate Program
You are free to promote your own websites, but naturally any promotion that mentions Oman Air could be perceived by the public or the press as a joint effort. There are certain forms of advertising that are always prohibited by Oman Air.
If it comes to our attention that you are using any of the restricted promotional methods, keywords, misspellings, PPC or other restricted actions, we will consider that cause for immediate termination of our cooperation and your participation in the Oman Air Affiliate Program. Any pending balances owed to you will not be paid if your account is terminated due to such unacceptable advertising or solicitation.
Promotional methods we need to evaluate before accepting:
● Retargeting, remarketing
● Toolbar Traffic
● PPC ads
● Solo email campaigns
● Promotion of Oman Air in newsgroups and/or social media groups/pages
○ As long as the news group specifically welcomes commercial messages
○ At all times, you must clearly represent yourself and your websites as independent from Oman Air
Restricted promotional methods and traffic:
● Spamming
● Unsolicited commercial email (UCE)
● Pop-ups / Pop-unders
● Adware / Spyware
● Shopping Assistance Application and Shopping Wallets
● Parasitic Marketing
● Adult traffic
● SMS/MMS Traffic
● Classified or chat room Traffic
● Fictional and fake promo codes ― it is forbidden to use any promo codes, unless they were exclusively given to you and agreed by Oman Air.
● Using our brand keywords in PPC ads (e.g. Oman Air cheap flights, Oman Air tickets, OmanAir.com, see the full list below)
● Stealing brand name and impersonating Oman Air
Restricted keywords
If you are using paid advertising, for example Google Ads, you are not allowed to bid on our restricted keywords:
● brand keywords (e.g. omanair, omanair.com)
● misspells (e.g. omanairr.com, oman-air.com, omnair.com)
● any variations of 'Oman Air' or 'Oman' word in connection with any means of travel or vacationing (e.g. Oman flights, OmanAir tickets)
● and hybrid searches (e.g. omanair.com flights, Oman Air cheap fares)
Restricted keywords for domains
You may not use restricted keyword variations or misspellings in your base domain name.
Examples of forbidden domain names:
● www.omanairflights.co.uk
● www.omanair.affiliate.com
● www.omanair-review.com...etc.
This includes registering social media pages (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram) and other web properties that you do not own and control yourself.
Affiliates are allowed to use Oman Air names in the URL (as subdomain).
Examples of allowed domain names:
● www.affiliate.co.uk/omanair
● www.greatcashback.co.uk/omanair
