Commission Structure & Payments
We operate the following commission structure:
- All cashback affiliates paid up to 5% commission based on performance.
- All content affiliates paid up to 10% commission based on performance.
Commission is calculated as a percentage of valid sales excluding VAT and delivery costs; it is paid once an order has been delivered to the customer.
We will only ever decline sales for the following reasons:
- Sale was cancelled by the customer before shipment
- The sale is fraudulent
- You have broken the terms and conditions of our programme in order to generate the sale
Programme Policies & Restrictions
The Cotswold Company does not allow trademark, trademark plus bidding, or any misspellings of the brand name. Affiliates are not permitted to use any domain names featuring the term “Cotswold Company”, "cotswoldco" or any misspellings in the url for promotional activity. E.g. www.cotswoldcofurniture.co.uk
PPC Policy
We do not work with PPC affiliates. Any affiliates found using PPC as a means for sending traffic to our site will be removed from our programme.
Email Policy
Affiliates are not permitted to send any unsolicited mail “spam” featuring The Cotswold Company as part of this programme. Whilst we don’t require our affiliates to get our sign off on e mail creative, we do however appreciate any transparency you can provide.
Voucher Policy
We do not work with voucher code websites. Affiliates using sub networks are not permitted to claim commission from any voucher code websites working under their umbrella. Anyone caught doing so will be removed from our programme and ALL commisions regardless of source will be rejected.
Affiliates may only promote codes that are provided through the Cotswold Company affiliate programme (either through our account or directly from our Affiliate Manager).
Where voucher codes are issued with an expiry date this should be clearly displayed, and codes should be removed or explicitly marked as expired after this date unless you are advised otherwise. Any affiliates displaying expired codes without marking them as being expired may be suspended from the programme. Please also ensure that you observe the IAB voucher code best practice guidelines.
Feed Policy
All affiliates are free to use our product feed to advertise our products under two conditions:
- The feed is updated daily.
- The feed should under no circumstances be used for any form of PPC advertising on Google, Bing, or any other search engines.
Consequences
Any affiliate found breaking the aforementioned restrictions risks suspension from the programme and declination of any commissions earned!
Please note, commission will not be given for any code, offer, or promotion that is not available and listed as active in this network. We reserve the right to reconcile or adjust the value on any transaction that is attributed to another marketing channel.
