Lightning Fibre Affiliate Programme – Branding Terms
Ownership and Licences
Affiliates participating in the Lightning Fibre Limited (“Lightning Fibre”) Affiliate Programme via the Affiliate Window Network must comply with the following:
- Each party retains full ownership of its names, logos, trademarks, service marks, trade dress, copyrights, and proprietary technology, including those currently in use or developed in the future.
- Lightning Fibre grants the Affiliate a revocable, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and transmit Lightning Fibre’s name, logos, trademarks, service marks, trade dress, and proprietary technology as provided via the Affiliate Window Network interface.
- This licence is solely for creating referral links from the Affiliate’s site during the Programme.
- Affiliates may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works unless permitted by law.
- Any goodwill arising from the use of Lightning Fibre’s branding benefits Lightning Fibre alone, granting no ownership rights to the Affiliate.
- This licence cannot be sublicensed, assigned, or transferred.
- Affiliates may only use logos, trademarks, service marks, trade dress, banners, text links, or coupon codes (“Creative”) provided by Lightning Fibre through the Affiliate Window interface.
- Creative must promote Lightning Fibre’s ultrafast full fibre broadband (e.g., “up to 1Gbps reliable speeds”, “community-focused broadband”) and must not be used in a way that damages Lightning Fibre’s reputation, misrepresents its services, or diminishes brand quality.
- Using Creative from external sources, emails, or altered/unauthorised versions is prohibited.
- Breach of these requirements may result in immediate termination from the Programme and/or legal action at Lightning Fibre’s discretion.
- Affiliates must ensure Lightning Fibre’s branding is not presented as more prominent than the Affiliate’s own name, logo, or site identity. Affiliates must not create the impression of a deeper partnership beyond participation in the Programme.
- Affiliates must maintain a level of service and promotional quality satisfactory to Lightning Fibre, which reserves the right to review Affiliate activities under this agreement.
- Upon termination or expiration of this agreement, Affiliates must immediately stop using Lightning Fibre’s logos, trademarks, service marks, trade dress, proprietary technology, and Creative.
Branding Guidelines
- Affiliates must follow Lightning Fibre’s branding guidelines outlined in “Ownership and Licences.”
- All messaging should correctly represent Lightning Fibre’s services and values: full fibre, fair pricing, reliability, and community focus.
- Additional brand guidance may be provided by your Account Manager.
Creative Restrictions
- Affiliates must always use the most up-to-date logos and Creative provided in the Affiliate Window interface.
- Hardcoding Creative is not permitted—materials must be sourced directly from the network to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Copy Compliance
- Affiliates must use accurate terminology in line with Lightning Fibre’s product descriptions (e.g., “500Mb” not “500MB”).
- Avoid excessive capitalisation or misleading claims (e.g., “fastest in the UK” unless supported by approved marketing statements).
- All copy must reflect Lightning Fibre’s brand values of clarity, fairness, and reliability.
Deeplinking
- Affiliates may deeplink to specific pages on the Lightning Fibre website (e.g., www.lightningfibre.co.uk) to better highlight products and services.
