To maintain the integrity of the Morris brand and ensure a consistent customer experience, all affiliates must adhere to the following guidelines. Failure to comply may result in the Commission withholding or termination from the programme.
1. Proper Use of Brand Assets
● Logos & Creatives: You must use only the approved banners, product images, and logos provided in the Awin affiliate interface or directly by our team. Do not alter, modify, or distort these assets in any way (including changing colours, proportions, or adding elements).
● Trademark Notice: On first and prominent mention, the brand name must be referenced as "Morris". The ® (registered) or ™ (trademark) symbol is not required in general promotional text but must not be incorrectly used.
2. Brand Name Usage & Grammar
● Spelling: The brand must always be written as "Morris". It must never be misspelled (e.g., "Moris"), abbreviated (e.g., "M.Direct"), or combined with other words to create a new domain or identity.
● Grammar: "Morris" should be treated as a proper noun and capitalised correctly in all content.
3. Prohibited Promotional Practices
● False Endorsement: Affiliates must not imply a direct partnership, employment, or official endorsement by Morris beyond their participation in the affiliate programme. Avoid using language like "we at Morris" or "our team".
● Incentives: Offering unauthorised incentives (e.g., "get a cashback reward from us") using the Morris brand is strictly prohibited.
● Coupon Misrepresentation: Do not promote expired, fake, or unauthorised discount codes. Only use codes provided officially through the affiliate programme.
● Ad Copy & Claims: Do not make exaggerated, misleading, or false claims about product features, pricing, or availability. All information must be accurate and verifiable.
4. Website & URL Requirements
● Display URLs: Do not use a domain name or subdomain that incorporates or is confusingly similar to the "Morris" trademark (e.g., morrisdiscounts.com, morrisdirect.vouchers.co.uk). This is considered "domain hijacking" and is strictly forbidden.
● Transparency: Your website must clearly disclose your commercial relationship. A simple statement like "As a Morris affiliate, I earn from qualifying purchases" is sufficient and often required by consumer law.
5. Social Media Guidelines (if applicable)
● Profile Handles: Do not create social media handles (e.g., Twitter, Instagram) that use the "Morris" name or a close variation.
● Hashtags: You may use generic hashtags like #HomeAppliances or #KitchenDeals. Avoid using branded hashtags used for official company campaigns (e.g., #MyMorrisHome) unless given explicit permission.
● Disclosure: All social media posts promoting Morris products must clearly and unambiguously disclose the affiliate relationship using platform-appropriate methods (e.g., #ad, #affiliate).
6. General Tone & Messaging
● Promotional content should be professional, helpful, and informative.
● Align with our brand values of trust, quality, and customer satisfaction.
● We encourage honest reviews and authentic content.
Failure to adhere to these branding guidelines is considered a breach of our Terms and Conditions and may result in the withholding of commissions and immediate termination from the Morris Affiliate Programme.
