Thank you for joining the UK Meds Affiliate Programme. This compliance pack provides all the information you need to promote our brand safely, responsibly, and effectively. 

By applying to and participating in this programme, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.

 

About UK Meds

UK Meds is a family-owned UK-based online prescription service. All requests for treatment require an online consultation, with prescribing decisions made only by a registered independent prescriber or GMC registered doctor. Our focus is on safety, accessibility, and patient trust.

 

Programme Terms & Conditions

  • Affiliates must apply via AWIN and be approved by UK Meds.
  • Affiliates must share details of all channels and profiles where promotions will appear.
  • Approved traffic sources include content websites, comparison sites, cashback platforms, voucher sites (with official codes only), and influencers/bloggers (pre-approved).
  • Prohibited traffic includes PPC brand bidding, non-UK traffic, incentivised traffic (beyond cashback/loyalty), and misleading claims.
  • Commissions are only payable on paid and clinically approved orders following consultation and prescriber approval. Cancelled, unapproved, refunded, or fraudulent orders will not qualify.
  • All affiliates must comply with ASA, CAP, MHRA guidance, GDPR, and these programme rules.
     

Publisher Do’s & Don’ts

✅ Do’s

  • State that UK Meds is an online prescription service.
  • Make clear that all requests require an online consultation and approval by a registered independent prescriber.
    Use approved creatives from the AWIN Document Tab.
  • Focus on service benefits such as convenience, discretion, and trust.
  • Target UK audiences only.
  • Use clear, visible disclaimers on all content.
  • Update content regularly to keep it accurate and compliant.
  • Disclose affiliate relationships (e.g. “Ad – Affiliate” and use #affukmeds).
  • Submit all content, copy, and ads to UK Meds for proofreading and compliance approval before going live.

     

❌ Don’ts

  • Mention, reference, or imply Prescription-Only Medicines (POMs) by name (e.g. Wegovy, Mounjaro, Ozempic, Viagra, Ventolin), active ingredients (e.g. semaglutide, tirzepatide), abbreviations (e.g. GLP-1, MJ), dosages (e.g. 5mg), or indirect references (“jab,” “pen,” “injection,” “dose,” 💉 emoji).
  • Show or imply injection use in content (e.g. videos of self-administering, product packaging with names visible).
  • Use phrases like “cheap,” “guaranteed results,” or “instant fix.”
  • Make competitor price comparisons or claim price-matching.
  • Bid on UK Meds brand terms or misspellings in PPC.
  • Invent or promote unapproved voucher codes.
  • Make unapproved medical or diagnostic claims.
  • Market to under-18s or vulnerable groups.
  • Hide disclaimers or place them in unreadable text.
  • Use testimonials that make unverified health claims.
  • Use UK Meds branding (name/logo) in account usernames, domains, or profile images.
  • Share content on third-party platforms that are non-compliant or reference POMs.
  • Repurpose UK Meds’ social content without permission.
     

Approved and Prohibited Phrases

To help affiliates promote UK Meds safely and compliantly, here are examples of what you can and cannot say:

  • “Convenient online asthma support”
  • “Erectile dysfunction support''
  • “Discreet men’s health service”
  • “Trusted online healthcare service”
  • “Fast and confidential online consultation service”
  • “Healthcare delivered discreetly to your door”
     

❌ Things You CANNOT Say

  • “Weight loss treatment”
  • “Weight loss medication”
  • “Prescription medication”
  • “Weight loss injections”
  • “Mounjaro / Wegovy / Ozempic / Saxenda” (brand names)
  • “Semaglutide / tirzepatide” (active ingredients)
  • “GLP-1s / MJ” (abbreviations)
  • “5mg dose / dosage-based phrases”
  • “Get a prescription online”
  • “Guaranteed weight loss results”
  • “Cheap meds / low-cost prescriptions”
  • “Instant results with our treatments”

Rule of thumb: Focus on the service and support, not on the drugs or prescriptions.

 

Approved Disclaimers

Publishers must use one of these disclaimers in content:

  • FullAll treatment requests through UK Meds are subject to an online consultation. Approval is at the discretion of a registered independent prescriber.
  • ShortAll requests are subject to an online consultation and prescriber approval.
     

Compliance Addendum (Quick Reference)

  • All content must be pre-approved by UK Meds before going live.
  • UK-only traffic.
  • Supply always subject to consultation and prescriber approval.
  • Use only official assets and approved creatives.
  • No POM references (names, doses, emojis, indirect mentions).
  • No brand bidding, misleading claims, or prohibited traffic sources.
  • Disclosures must be clear (Ad – Affiliate and #affukmeds).
