Xplora Affiliate Program – Terms and Conditions (US)This document outlines the official terms and conditions for participation in the Xplora Affiliate Program via the Awin network. By joining our program, you agree to follow the policies below and commit to promoting Xplora in a responsible, brand-compliant, and family-friendly manner aligned with our values and legal requirements.
1. General Guidelines
Xplora designs and sells smartwatches for children aged 4 to 12, with a strong focus on child safety, healthy screen habits, and meaningful family connection. All affiliate partners are expected to promote our products transparently and respectfully through safe, ethical, and family-appropriate channels.
Xplora reserves the right to decline or remove any partner who violates these standards, engages in misleading marketing, or damages the brand’s reputation. We also reserve the right to withhold or cancel commissions (past and pending) in cases of non-compliance, abuse, or suspected fraud.
2. Paid Search (PPC) Policy
- Xplora enforces a strict no-brand-bidding PPC policy:
- Bidding on Xplora brand terms — including misspellings, variants, or combinations (e.g., “Xplora coupon,” “Xplora watch”) — is prohibited.
- The use of “Xplora” in ad titles, descriptions, display URLs, or final URLs is strictly prohibited.
- Direct linking from paid ads to any Xplora-owned domain is not allowed.
- Brand terms must be added as negative keywords wherever possible.
- CSS (Comparison Shopping Services) partners are allowed only with written approval and must operate under a separate, identifiable publisher ID.
Violations will result in immediate commission reversals and potential permanent removal from the program.
3. Voucher and Coupon Code Policy
- Only coupon codes distributed through Awin or explicitly approved by Xplora may be promoted.
- Use of unauthorized, expired, or internal-only discount codes will result in 0% commission for related sales.
- Coupon/cashback affiliates must clearly display code validity and attribution to Xplora.
- False “exclusive” or “verified” claims without permission are strictly prohibited.
4. Content and Placement Guidelines
Xplora promotions must not appear on websites or in content that includes:
- Adult, violent, or offensive material
- Political or religious content
- Health misinformation, deceptive claims, or unsafe content for children
- Illegal, unethical, or misleading practices
This also includes sites using:
- Clickbait or false urgency
- AI-generated low-quality content at scale
- Unauthorized third-party traffic sources
- Incentivized traffic without prior approval
- Toolbars, pop-ups, pop-unders, forced clicks, or redirect schemes
Affiliates using external traffic sources or sub-affiliate networks must fully disclose them and obtain written approval before promoting Xplora. All Xplora marketing materials must be used as provided, and may not be altered without written consent.
5. Email and Social Media Advertising
- Email campaigns require prior written approval from Xplora.
- Organic social media promotion (e.g., Instagram posts, TikTok videos) is allowed as long as it aligns with our brand guidelines.
- Paid social media ads (e.g., Meta/Instagram/Facebook) must be pre-approved.
- Unauthorized use of brand assets or direct linking via paid social ads may result in commission loss or removal from the program.
6. Use of Brand and Marketing Assets
- Only official Xplora materials (banners, logos, product images, descriptions) may be used.
- Self-created or modified creatives must be approved in writing before publication.
- Misleading, inaccurate, or off-brand content will result in immediate removal from the program.
7. Commission Terms
- Standard commission: 10% per validated sale
- Cookie duration: 30 days
Xplora does not pay commissions for:
- Cancelled or refunded orders
- Sales not properly tracked through Awin
- Any violations of these terms
- Invalid, fraudulent, or non-compliant traffic
- Incentivized conversions or unauthorized sub-affiliate sales
Xplora reserves the right to adjust or reverse commissions at any time based on traffic quality or breach of policy.
8. Attribution Policy
Awin uses last-click attribution. The affiliate who generates the final click before conversion will receive the commission, assuming all tracking is in place and program terms are met.
Xplora is not responsible for lost commissions due to attribution overrides, competing affiliates, user behavior, or browser settings.
9. Tracking Disclaimer
- Xplora is not liable for missing commissions due to:
- Tracking issues caused by affiliate setup, browser extensions, or ad blockers
- Improper use of tracking links
- Delay in reporting or misconfigured links on the affiliate’s end
All affiliates are responsible for ensuring proper tracking through Awin.
- 10. Legal and Compliance
- All activities must comply with applicable laws, including FTC disclosure rules, data privacy regulations (e.g., CCPA), and Awin policies.
- Affiliate links must be clearly disclosed where required (e.g., “As an affiliate, I may earn from qualifying purchases”).
- Use of personal data (e.g., for email lists or retargeting) must be consent-based and lawful.
11. Termination
Xplora reserves the right to suspend or terminate partnerships at any time, especially in cases of:
- Policy violations
- Brand damage
- Suspected fraud
- Low-quality or non-compliant traffic
Upon termination, all use of Xplora brand assets must cease immediately.
