General Terms for Affiliate Partners
By joining the Arendal Sound Affiliate Program, partners agree to follow these terms. Any violation may result in immediate removal from the program and the cancellation of pending commissions.
Who Can Join?
We welcome affiliates who align with our brand values. However, the following types of publishers cannot participate:
Websites featuring illegal, offensive, or inappropriate content, including political extremism, gambling, violence, or pornography.
Websites that are incomplete, under construction, or return error messages.
Businesses that are not legally registered or operated by individuals under 18 years old.
Publishers using white-label storefronts or price comparison engines designed to mimic an online store.
Sub-networks, behavioural retargeting, or media brokers who do not provide full transparency regarding sub-publishers and traffic sources.
Any domain names containing "Arendal Sound" (including typos or variations) without prior approval.
Use of Promotional Materials & Brand Assets
Any banners, logos, or creatives provided by Arendal Sound remain our intellectual property and should not be altered without permission.
Promotional materials must only be used on the affiliate's approved websites and channels.
If notified that an ad creative is outdated or must be removed, affiliates must take action immediately.
Pop-ups and intrusive ad formats (such as auto-playing layers) are not allowed.
Brand Name & Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Guidelines
To maintain brand integrity, the following restrictions apply to paid advertising:
Directing paid traffic to the Arendal Sound website without approval is prohibited.
Paid placements on marketplaces, social media ads (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), or other paid advertising without prior agreement are not permitted.
Bidding on the term "Arendal Sound" or any variation (including misspellings) in Google Ads, Bing Ads, or other search engines is strictly prohibited.
Using "Arendal Sound" in paid ad copy, display banners, or as a display URL is not allowed.
Affiliates must add specific keywords to their negative keyword list to prevent brand bidding (specific terms to be provided upon approval).
Product Feeds & Data Usage
Affiliates can access Arendal Sound’s product data feeds for use on their own websites only.
Sharing or using the feed to power third-party listings (e.g., Google Shopping) without explicit permission is not allowed.
Affiliates must ensure the latest version of the feed is always in use. Incorrect or outdated information is the publisher's responsibility.
Unacceptable Marketing Practices
The following promotional tactics are strictly prohibited:
Spyware & Adware – Affiliates may not promote Arendal Sound via tools that manipulate user behaviour, such as browser hijacking or injected ads.
Unauthorized Retargeting – Running display retargeting or email remarketing campaigns without approval is not allowed.
Email Spam – Email marketing must comply with relevant privacy and anti-spam laws. Prior approval is required before sending promotional emails.
Email Marketing Guidelines
All email campaigns must be pre-approved before sending.
Affiliates must have obtained explicit opt-in consent from recipients in compliance with local data protection laws.
Any unapproved email marketing will result in the cancellation of commissions for sales generated through those emails.
Email lists and campaign details (e.g., number of recipients, sender details, subject line) must be submitted for review before each send.
Consequences for Policy Violations
Failure to comply with these terms may result in:
Rejection of commissions from affected transactions.
Temporary suspension or permanent removal from the program.
Legal action, if necessary, to protect Arendal Sound’s brand integrity.
