Terms and Conditions
Validations
Commission is paid on approved sales only and is validated on a monthly basis. An approved sale will meet the following criteria:
- The sale has been approved by Highland Soap Co, with payment being received from the customer and the order not being returned.
- The sale has tracked on a last-click wins basis through the Awin platform to the individual affiliate ID.
- The affiliate has adhered to all Awin and Highland Soap Co programme terms and conditions.
- A non-affiliate code has not been used during the sale. (Please note: Affiliates may only use voucher codes provided through the affiliate network specifically for their use.)
PPC Policy
Highland Soap Co does not allow affiliates to bid on brand terms, nor are affiliates permitted to use brand terms in display URLs for PPC advertising. This policy includes misspellings or variations of the brand name. Affiliates are not permitted to link directly to Highland Soap Co’s site through paid search campaigns. Additionally, affiliates must not bid on terms related to any competitors of Highland Soap Co.
Any affiliates found in violation of this policy will have their commissions declined and may be removed from the programme.
Loyalty and voucher code sites
Loyalty and voucher code sites are permitted on the programme. Affiliates may only use voucher codes provided through the affiliate network specifically for their use.
Use of voucher codes
Affiliates may not promote voucher codes without prior authorisation. Affiliates may only advertise codes that are provided through the affiliate programme and may not use codes from any other sources. Affiliates must not engage in misleading practices, including but not limited to:
- Advertising expired offers or presenting offers that do not exist.
- Claiming that visitors must click on a link to activate or receive an offer.
- Using technology to generate clicks or set cookies through deceptive means, such as copying a voucher code or using pop-unders.
Email marketing
All email marketing activity must be pre-approved by Highland Soap Co. Affiliates must obtain appropriate marketing consents before sending any emails to consumers.
Use of social networking sites
Affiliates must highlight and seek approval from Highland Soap Co for any promotional activity conducted on social networking platforms.
Declined sales
The following sales will not qualify for affiliate commission:
- Purchases made with voucher codes that are not specifically shared with and assigned to the affiliate.
- Any purchase that is not correctly tracked or reported due to improperly formatted links.
- Purchases made after the termination of this agreement.
- Orders that are cancelled or returned.
- Purchases made through prohibited methods outlined in this agreement, including:
- Prohibited paid search placements.
- Redirecting links to Highland Soap Co’s site that are generated or displayed by a search engine.
Untracked sales
Affiliates must raise queries regarding untracked transactions within 45 days of the transaction date. Any queries submitted after this period will not be eligible for payment.
Closure policy
Upon programme closure, Highland Soap Co operates a 7-day notice period.
